“Trunk or Treat” events are being sponsored by churches and Knights of Columbus councils in five Maine locations this Halloween.
At a “Trunk or Treat” event, individuals and families park their cars in a central location like a parking lot and decorate their cars and trunks for Halloween, many times creating an elaborate scene.
Children, wearing Halloween costumes, walk from vehicle to vehicle collecting candy the way they would during a traditional trick-or-treating outing.
Here are the events (chronologically):
Friday, October 28
The Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord will present “Trunk or Treat” outside of Holy Family Church on Main Street on Friday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place in the Brunswick Street parking lot. If you are interested in decorating your trunk, passing out candy, hosting a game, or being a safety helper, please email Jessica at [email protected].
