“Trunk or Treat” events are being sponsored by churches and Knights of Columbus councils in five Maine locations this Halloween.
At a “Trunk or Treat” event, individuals and families park their cars in a central location like a parking lot and decorate their cars and trunks for Halloween, many times creating an elaborate scene.
Children, wearing Halloween costumes, walk from vehicle to vehicle collecting candy the way they would during a traditional trick-or-treating outing.

Friday, October 28
Old Town
The Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord will present “Trunk or Treat” outside of Holy Family Church on Main Street on Friday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place in the Brunswick Street parking lot. Saturday, October 29
Lisbon Falls
Prince of Peace Parish welcomes all to gather at Holy Trinity Church, located on 67 Frost Hill Road, for a potluck supper and “Trunk or Treat” event on Saturday, October 29, at 5 p.m. It will feature trick or treating at cars in the lower lot, bobbing for apples, a donut on a string game, a “Pin the Halo on the Saint” event, the decorating of votive candles, hayrides, face painting, and more. A potluck supper will also be held, and all are encouraged to bring a dish or dessert to share. For more information, call (207) 777-1200.

Bangor
St. Paul the Apostle Parish and All Saints Catholic School in Bangor will be hosting a “Trunk or Treat” event at the St. Mary campus of the school, located on 768 Ohio Street. Sunday, October 30
South Portland
A chili cook-off and “Trunk or Treat” event will be held in the Holy Cross School parking lot on 436 Broadway on Sunday, October 30. The cook-off starts at 5 p.m., with the “Trunk or Treat” to follow at 6 p.m. To enter the cook-off, contact Nikki Lappin

Greenville
